STAR Kids Program in Harlingen
Comprehensive Care For Children With Disabilities Brownsville, McAllen, Corpus Christi, Laredo, and Throughout South Texas
STAR Kids is designed to meet the unique needs of youth and children with disabilities. The program will provide personal attendant and respite care services for individuals with special needs 20 years and younger. These individuals receive personal assistance services depending on their needs and level of functioning.
Comprehensive Personal Assistance Services:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Routine hair/ skin care
- Toileting
- Grooming
- Meal preparation
- Feeding
- Cleaning
- Laundry
- Transfer/ambulation
- Shopping
- Escort to medical appointments, etc
Eligibility is determined by Texas Health and Human Services and then sent to a managed care organization for authorization.
